What are clients expecting information designers to bring to a project?
Designers are expected to bring a combination of magic and logic to a project.
Magic is a creative leap and stunning design – something the client could never come up with on their own.
Logic is rational design that’s argued for in terms of its effect on readers.
Information designers mainly bat for logic, but people also expect a little magic too.
The copywriter and blogger Nick Parker wrote that:
